Aapda Rakshak Mobile-Web App
The application enables users to receive timely weather forecasts, disaster alerts and other important information issued by the competent authorities. Users may also report major disaster incidents through the application by uploading geo-tagged photographs and location details. The information collected through the application will help HPSDMA identify hazard-wise black spots, analyze recurring disaster locations, assess the coverage of Early Warning Systems and plan the installation of additional monitoring and warning equipment in disaster-prone areas. This will support evidence-based disaster mitigation planning and contribute towards protecting human life and property. Key Benefits of the Aapda Rakshak Mobile App for Disaster Management are as under:
- Real-time Incident Reporting: Enables citizens and Government officials to report disaster incidents instantly, ensuring timely response.
- Geo-tagged Reporting: Captures the exact location along with photographs and videos, facilitating rapid assessment and verification.
- Improved Coordination: Strengthens coordination among DDMAs, DEOCs. SEOC and line departments through a common digital platform. Community Participation: Empowers citizens, volunteers, NGOs and other stakeholders to actively contribute to disaster reporting and preparedness through the Citizen Login.
